Since 2011, my roster of agented and published clients has been steadily growing. Over 50 writers have signed with agents after our partnership, dozens have self-published successfully, and dozens more have signed book deals with major houses such as Penguin, Candlewick, Scholastic, Harlequin, HarperCollins, and Simon & Schuster. This success brought me opportunities to speak at conferences and in classrooms around the U.S.
I have worked at literary agencies, including Andrea Brown Literary and The Bent Agency, as an acquiring editor at a small publishing house, and as an assistant to best-selling author Gennifer Albin. This broad publishing background gave me experience in stories from many different angles: from pen-on-paper editing all the way to the marketing tasks necessary to make a book a success.
Upon completing my Creative Writing degree, I moved to California where I work for Walt Disney Creative Entertainment, writing the shows, parades, and live entertainment that delight children of all ages. My own YA and MG fiction is represented by Molly Ker Hawn of The Bent Agency.
When I am not editing or reading voraciously, I am a competitive CrossFit athlete and powerlifter with fourteen years of national-level swimming in my past.
But don’t just let me tell you about myself! If the success stories and testimonials on the sidebar aren’t convincing, here is a list of previous clients who are happy to discuss their experiences with me. You can also search through the success stories on my blog to hear more about working with me.
